This contract outlines the terms and conditions for teaching services provided by Serena Chinese to Student.

Teacher’s Responsibilities

Teacher will prepare Chinese lessons for sessions designed to help Student make progress in the areas agreed to by Student and Teacher.
Teacher agrees to be on time for each lesson. If the Student is late, the Teacher will wait for Student until the end of the period of the scheduled lesson. The teacher, however, is not required to make up for lost time due to Students late arrival.
Teacher is not required to provide services outside scheduled lessons.

Student’s Responsibilities

Student agrees to be on time for each lesson. Student will wait for Teacher at least 10 minutes in the event that Teacher is late. Teacher is required to make up for lost time due to Teacher’s late arrival.
Student will make every attempt to complete any homework agreed to by Student and Teacher.

Cancellation and Termination Policy
 

If Student needs to cancel a scheduled lesson, Student agrees to contact Teacher at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson. Student may contact Teacher by email or by message, preferably both. Student and Teacher agree to reschedule the canceled lesson as soon as possible.

Student can reschedule lesson only for one time if Student fails to give at least 24 hours notice to Teacher. Student forfeits the deposit paid for a scheduled lesson if Student fails to reschedule lesson.

That means that Student pays for the ​lessons they have failed to reschedule.

Any exceptions to this policy must be discussed between Student and Teacher.

Refund Policy
Either party can initiate a cancellation of the package at any time. The refund policy is different depending on who initiates it.

If Teacher initiates the cancellation, Teacher fully refunds all the remaining lessons to Student.

If Student initiates the cancellation, Teacher must refund 75 % of the value of the remaining lessons. Teacher is not obligated to refund the lessons that would have otherwise been conducted within 24 hours of the cancellation request.

This agreement may be modified when needed and as agreed to by both Student and Teacher.
